JASON NELSON

Founder/President

Jason has more than 20 years of experience in hospitality business operations and executive level management. He has worked up from busser to Director of Operations and provided consultation to establishments located in the greater Washington D.C area, New York City, New Orleans, Los Angeles and several other locations throughout the country. Jason is a results driven operator with an extensive background in restaurant and hotel food and beverage operations and solutions, including adherence to local operating laws. Jason is not afraid to roll up his sleeves and ensure that hard work gets done and leads by example. Throughout his career, Jason has successfully repositioned numerous high-volume restaurants and hotels to include independent and corporate brands such as Shake Shack, Friday’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Doyle’s Outpost, Not Your Average Joe’s, Deja Vu and Ramada Hotel Group among several others and worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Bar Rescue’s John Taffer on bar concepts, training and development. Jason embraces a high-energy leadership style that has helped develop highly regarded and well-known establishments, operations, and talent throughout the industry. Jason is recognized for his expertise in operations, restaurant and hotel food and beverage turnarounds as well as financial results. He is qualified to assist existing restaurant owners and hotel executives with their operational systems, growth strategies, and talent development to lead businesses to real honest results.

MISSION

Almas Hospitality Consulting Group was created to take an in-depth hands-on approach of a client’s operating environment, unique issues and goals. We provide a customized plan that will address the client’s specific problem set, profitability, targets and develop a plan for efficient execution. We specialize in office processes such as inventory tracking, P&L analysis, team member workshops, food handler/food manager/alcohol/ABRA service certifications and licenses, bar management, leadership development, leveraging local opportunities such as vendor selection, growth initiatives, financial and hiring best practices for clients who serve in ownership/management roles and who may be bogged down by processes or technical experts with little experience.
